About the role
Lendsqr is revolutionizing loan access across Africa by helping lenders launch digital lending at scale with the right technology, data, and services. Top digital lenders including Kredi Bank, Urgent10k, Irorun, and Sterling Bank depend on Lendsqr to power their lending systems. As a Frontend Engineer on the Lendsqr engineering team, you will build and maintain high-performance web applications — designing and implementing user interfaces, integrating APIs, improving system performance, and writing reliable automated tests to ensure stability and scalability. You will move fast, write clean code, and obsess over user experience and technical excellence. You will also communicate with your manager and team members on issues and solutions, assist the team in achieving project goals and meeting schedules, support mobile app related issues, and may be required to onboard new team members in the future. This role is remote but open only to candidates resident in Nigeria.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of a 2:1 CGPA. High level proficiency with TypeScript. High level proficiency with HTML and CSS including SCSS. Working knowledge of Git and source control management on GitHub or similar platforms. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Driven, curious, and growth-minded with a willingness to learn. Creative and resourceful with good time management. Open to Nigerian residents only.
