About the role
n8n is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure powering its AI-driven workflow orchestration platform. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure on Azure, supporting multi-region deployments and Kubernetes-based systems. You will design infrastructure from the ground up, improve platform reliability, and define architecture patterns that support millions of users globally. The role includes hands-on ownership of infrastructure systems, collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, and contribution to high-impact platform decisions shaping the future of n8n Cloud.
What we're looking for
Candidates should have strong hands-on experience building and operating cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, or GCP, with at least 5 years in infrastructure or platform engineering roles. Deep expertise in Kubernetes (including AKS, EKS, or GKE), Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and designing scalable cloud-native systems is required. Applicants should have experience architecting systems from scratch, operating at scale, and applying strong security and networking principles. Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud networking, system reliability, and performance optimization is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong architectural judgment, problem-solving ability, and a growth mindset. Experience with Kubernetes networking, multi-region systems, and startup environments is a plus.
