About the role
Deepgram is the leading platform underpinning the emerging trillion-dollar Voice AI economy, providing real-time APIs for speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and building production-grade voice agents at scale. More than 200,000 developers and 1,300+ organizations build voice offerings "Powered by Deepgram," including Twilio, Cloudflare, Sierra, Decagon, Vapi, Daily, Cresta, Granola, and Jack in the Box. Backed by a recent Series C, Deepgram has processed over 50,000 years of audio and transcribed more than 1 trillion words.
At Deepgram, AI use is core to how the team operates — every team member is expected to actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools and integrate them into everyday work. The company moves at the pace of AI, so this role suits someone excited to experiment, adapt, and learn constantly rather than work in a highly prescriptive, traditional structure.
Deepgram is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join the Console team. This team owns the front-end experiences that help developers discover, test, and adopt Deepgram — including customer-facing surfaces like Console and Playground, as well as internal tools supporting teams across the company. You'll build polished, high-quality interfaces for both external and internal users, helping developers get started quickly, understand Deepgram's capabilities, manage projects and billing, and explore APIs hands-on.
This role is aimed at generalist senior engineers rather than requiring niche framework expertise; familiarity with Elm is a plus, not a requirement.
What You'll Do:
Build and ship front-end features across Deepgram's customer-facing Console and Playground experiences
Build internal-facing tools that improve workflows and productivity across Deepgram
Partner with product, design, and engineering to create accessible, performant, and responsive interfaces
Translate product ideas and design concepts into well-scoped, incrementally releasable work
Balance rapid iteration with long-term maintainability, quality, and performance
Help raise the bar through code reviews, technical design discussions, and strong front-end engineering practices

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with design, product, and engineering partners
Strong product and UX judgment
Nice to have:
Experience with Elm, or interest in learning it
Experience building developer-facing products, internal tools, or API-centric interfaces
Familiarity with backend integrations and APIs
Experience with voice, audio, real-time systems, or AI products
