About the role
Ramp is hiring Product Designers to help build AI-first financial infrastructure products used by thousands of companies globally. The role focuses on owning the full product design lifecycle from problem definition and customer research to prototyping, testing, launch, and iteration. Designers at Ramp work closely with product managers and engineers to create scalable, intuitive, and data-heavy experiences that improve how businesses manage spending and financial operations.
The company emphasizes an AI-driven workflow where design exploration begins with tools like Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT before moving into Figma for refinement and production readiness. Designers are expected to prototype quickly, validate assumptions with customers, contribute to design systems and shared patterns, and continuously optimize experiences based on product outcomes and user behavior.
What we're looking for
Candidates should have experience designing complex digital products, especially in B2B, fintech, or systems-heavy environments. Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong ownership across the full product development lifecycle, from defining problems to launching and iterating on solutions. Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Claude Code is important, along with strong interaction design and product thinking skills.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable collaborating directly with engineers and product managers, defining success metrics, conducting lightweight customer research, and working within fast-paced product teams. Experience with design systems, usability testing, frontend concepts such as components and states, and iterative product development is considered a strong advantage.
