About the role
Appsilon is a data consultancy building high-impact data solutions for Fortune 500 companies in biotech, pharma, and enterprise analytics — helping clients discover drugs, optimize operations, and unlock millions in value. They're hiring a Data Engineer to elevate how clients collect, process, and leverage massive datasets. You'll design and maintain scalable pipelines, integrate diverse data sources into warehouses and data lakes, collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers, and implement data governance and security best practices. The role is fully remote and global.
What we're looking for
Strong backend Python development experience (type hints, FastAPI/Django REST Framework/Flask); hands-on ETL/ELT pipeline design and operation; solid SQL skills and database modeling; experience integrating data from multiple sources including APIs and streaming; familiarity with large-scale or distributed data processing; cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools are a plus; life sciences, CDISC, bioinformatics, or Nextflow experience is a strong bonus; valid passport required for non-Polish citizens.
