Applied AI Engineer

Sigma360 is an MIT-incubated, Series B compliance data and analytics company helping financial institutions and governments manage entity risk. As an Applied AI Engineer, you'll turn hard compliance problems into working AI systems — building agents, fine-tuning models, engineering prompts, and validating outputs against real-world, adversarial data. This is a notebooks-first, research-oriented role upstream of production engineering. You'll work on name matching across languages, adverse media classifiers, and agentic workflows that compress hours of analyst work into minutes.

2+ years of experience; strong Python fluency (pandas, PySpark); solid ML fundamentals including evaluation design and precision/recall tradeoffs; hands-on experience building with LLMs — agents, RAG pipelines, or fine-tuned classifiers; systematic prompt engineering approach; ability to work autonomously through ambiguous problems; Bachelor's degree in CS, ML, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
