Cyber Security Analyst

Layer3 is a network and enterprise solutions provider partnering with global technology vendors to design, implement, and support enterprise transformation. The Cyber Security Analyst continuously monitors security alerts and events from various security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls), investigates and responds to security incidents (malware infections, unauthorized access, phishing), and conducts root cause analysis of breaches. The role also covers regular vulnerability assessments and remediation tracking, maintenance and optimization of security tools (antivirus, endpoint protection, network security devices), assisting in deployment and configuration of security technologies, and contributing to the development of security policies, audits, and assessments. You'll analyze threat intelligence to identify risks and promote best practices for data protection across the organization.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3–4 years of experience in cybersecurity. Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools and incident response. Knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, and endpoint security. Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CompTIA CySA+. Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS). Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
