About the role
Evio is a pharmacy solutions company founded by and serving major Blue Cross Blue Shield health plans, collectively covering 20M+ members. They're hiring an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain their AWS-cloud-native data platform. You'll build reliable ETL pipelines for complex healthcare data, design scalable data architectures across data lakes and warehouses, optimize pipeline performance and cost, enforce data governance and security, and partner closely with product and analytics teams. This is a hands-on, mission-critical role on a lean team making a real difference in how medications reach patients.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field; 10+ years of data engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership; expertise in AWS-native data systems including Redshift, Aurora, RDS PostgreSQL, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and MWAA-Airflow; strong Python and SQL skills including advanced query design and database optimization; experience with healthcare data (Medical Claims, Rx Claims) is required; ability to write views, stored procedures, and triggers; collaborative mindset with strong delivery reliability.
